Dream: Trampolines and Tithes

Hello I saved this posting some time ago and I am just now responding. I have dreams where I am jumping on a trampoline or something springy. The more I jump the higher I ascend. Until I am reaching or grabbing for something to keep me from going up any higher. In your God given gift how do you discern this dream? -S

My first reaction is that you are wanting to go higher and deeper in your relationship with God but the deeper you get the less secure you feel because the footing is not sure.

When you reach out to go deeper in God, He will take you into places that are uncomfortable and it is not uncommon to want to reach for the comfortable to make you feel more at ease with the process.

The repetitive nature of the jumping implies that you have been going through this cycle repeatedly for some time trying to get more of God than you have before, reaching for the heavenlies.
It could imply that you are seeking a miraculous breakthrough either in your finances, relationships, or health. Without counseling with you some it is hard to pinpoint specifically. But in a general sense, you are trying to get higher and go further in God than you have before.

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Acts 2:4. Acts 2:38

The disciples were instructed in Acts 1 to "tarrry ye in Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high". The Greek word for power here is "dynamos" or "dunamos" from which we get the English word Dynamite.

The power of the Holy Ghost is explosive. If you have not received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, seek it.

Do not be a slave to fear. God wants to take you higher and into a dimension you have never been.

You are right I am wanting to go higher and deeper in my relationship with Christ. I am sure of what I want to do. I am just afraid to take the step.

I have indeed been going through the same cycle since 1999. I have always seen myself as successful but I have always downplayed myself because my mom would make comments that I thought that I was better than... You are high minded....You moved to get away from us...You think you are holy.... So, I am shortchanging the person I am to stay on the same level as lowlyminded people. People who already don't see themselves as much.

Financially I have been in the same rut. Instead of always giving here there, I have to put money into my business. I have recieved the Holy Spirit in 1998. I know the Lord and I love him. I am a faithful tither! In order to get something different I have to do something different. Any money I get from the fruit of my labor 10% is God's and the rest I am investing back into my business.

God will deliver me from the power of fear. Fear isn't my god. The Lord is my God! May God bless your life and stir up the gift inside of you with fire. -S

Let me help you with the "financial rut"...

It is good that you are giving a tithe or your first fruits to God. But let me encourage you that there is a deeper way. Remember the widow's mite. Remember Solomon's Porch. Remember that the Apostles had all things common. Also when Jesus said, "inasmuch as you have done unto the least of these..."

Christ was pointing us to a new method of giving unto Lord. He did tell the Pharisees who were under the law that they gave tithes of mint and cummin but forgot the weightier matters of the law such as compassion


Matthew 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

We hear it preached over and over.... "Will a man rob God?"

But I submit to you that there is a better way, a way according to the Spirit.

Those to whom these scriptures we addressed were unto the Jews and the Jewish Priesthood. The Lord dwelt in the Temple between the cheubim on the mercy seat in the holiest of holies where the high priest would atone annually with blood for the sins of the nation, scrolling them forward until the time of Christ. These that lived of the Temple were the Levites and they had no inheritance of Land with the other 11 of the 12 tribes of Israel. The Lord was their inheritance, so it was commanded of the Jews of teh remaining 11 tribes under the law that they bring their tithes into the storehouse and that the priests would live off the offerings. The high priest lived only off the 1% of the 10% called the "heave offering"

However, when Jesus Christ died in the flesh on the cross, he fulfilled the covenant with Israel by His own sacrifice. "To wit, God was in Christ reconciling himself unto the world".
When he died, the veil of the temple surrounding the Ark of the Covenant ripped into signifying that the way to God was made open and manifest to all men (mankind).

The Bible further declares that God dwells not in temples made with men's hands.
Also the book of Hebrews declares that Jesus Christ is our eternal high priest according to the order of Melchizadek, not of Aaron (the Levites) and that Abraham already paid tithes to Melchizadek when the children of Israel (the 12 tribes) were still in his loins.

As Christians, therefore we are not obligated to pay the tithe according to the statutes written for the nation of Israel and of the Jews. Instead, to look at examples of New Testament Giving, re-read the book of Acts looking specifically for examples.

You will find sacrificial giving, holding things common, offerings, benevolence, etc are all evident... but not the tithe.

Now, to those who believe in the tithe I say this... that whatever is given as though unto the Lord is Holy unto the Lord.

But I know from experience that when I laid down the LAW and obeyed the Law of the SPIRIT, obediently giving to whom and wheresoever the Lord directed me according to His Will and leading, I went from having $8.00 in my pocket to making well over 6 figures, because my heart was in the right place. I did not give tithes anymore to receive of God, nor to obey the law. Remember the argument about circumcision in the Bible? If we take any bit of the Law unto ourselves we take the whole law.

The reason you cannot gain the victory is because although you have gained the Spirit, you are still living under the mastery of the Law. You will not be blessed because you are a faithful tither. You will receive only a measure of his blessings. You will be blessed when 100% of your life, substance, business relationships etc. are his.

I challenge you to truly give unto the Lord. Not necessarily your church offering.

Ask God to direct your path(s). Give to people that God leads you to. Women whose husbands are in jail, children with no fathers, people in your fellowship who can't pay their bills. We are not commanded as christians to support a building fund or programs. We are commanded to love one another.

When you do these things, God will bless your business. The work will come in ways that you will be forced to acknowledge came only from God's leading and not from your own industry.

Until then, you will remain in this cycle. I encourage you to fast about this for a few days and look to the word of God (Acts, Hebrews, etc) for confirmation.

Sometimes, that does mean sacrificing what we want or think that God wants for us like Abraham did with Isaac. Even though God promised him a son, once the son (Isaac) came, Abraham was told of God to lay him down and sacrifice him. It was only through the obedience and surviving the test of character that Abraham was able to actually walk into the blessing that God had spoken to him. For if Isaac was slain, then the promise of God to number Abraham's seed as the stars of heaven would have been lost forever.

And if you think of it... the man Jesus Christ came through the loins of Judah.

Don't be afraid to give God the very things that you hold on to dearly.. relationships, goals, even His Promises!

I am excited in the Holy Ghost for what God wants to do for you and through you.

Just be an obedient vessel and he will bring you up higher and reveal more to you...
